Chorley Barn Conversion

Client: Private Client

Structural Engineer: JCE Ltd

Budget: £70,000

In this conversion project. We provided a design that focuses on vaulting the ceiling on the inside with exposed timber trusses and emphasizing the barn like feel.

The roof shape quickly became a complex part of the design, but the final result gives the project it's unique feel when viewed from the outside or lived in on the inside.

This project made clever use of the existing structure and used a number of rooflights to flood the interior with natural light.

Working around the diagonal side wall and the conservation area were key achievements on this project.
