We are excited to share details of an ongoing EnerPHit project that exemplifies innovative design and self-build ingenuity.
This transformative project includes a full-width rear extension, a rear dormer roof extension as well as a complete remodel of the inside of the house, creating additional space and improving the energy efficiency of the property to meet the EnerPHit standard.
A unique aspect of this project is the client’s hands-on approach to construction. Demonstrating exceptional creativity, the client has utilized 3D-printed cast moulds to produce bespoke bay window cills and mullions.
This innovative technique not only adds a personal touch to the build but also enhances the architectural detailing, aligning with the project’s commitment to quality and precision.
Achieving the high energy efficiency standards required for EnerPHit has been a key focus throughout the design and construction process.
The project incorporates very high levels of insulation and airtightness, including the use of thermal load-bearing blocks to eliminate thermal cold-bridging.
These measures, combined with careful detailing, aiming to reduce the energy consumption of the finished building to approximately 15% of a typical new build house.
